How much tranny whine is normal?

my tranny seems to make a whining noise when i am on the throttle, once i let off if goes away instantly, then i tap the pedal and the noise is still there. Its not the turbos because it made this noise before i went stage 3 and my stock k03s had no shaft play.

Or can it be something else making this noise? i cannot pinpoint it.

A lot of people hear this and question it.. I have called Stratmosphere (since I have hyperboost DV's) and they told me the DV's were probably to blame... They said the piston driven valve can be fluctuated and you will hear a whooooo sound in vacuum when letting off the throttle.

tranny whine? you have to be a little more specific. Does it get louder as you speed up? does it go away when you push in the clutch? I could be your throw out bearing is going or a wheel bearing.

Does it stop whining after you pay them?

    Sorry, couldn't resist

My rear diff hums between 60 and 70mph only when I give it gas. But I haven't had any noise from the tranny.

it seems to be pretty constant in sound, it goes away as soon as i let off the throttle. sounds like a electric fan more so. What does a bad driveshaft bearing sound line? i have a new throwout bearing so thats not the prob since the sound was there before the bearing. Now that i think of it is a very close sound to when my throwout bearing was bad.

i will see if i can get a sound clip.

its going to be hard to catch that on camera, I know the sound exactly... Its faint.. What's weird is like, if you have the radio up or down no matter the sound really you can still hear it haha, must be a frequency thing or something.

My car does the same thing, im starting to suspect the driveshaft support bearing or the cv joint on the driveshaft
