I just used the canned stuff from Menards. Pro Stripper. Works great but freezes your hands if you get any on them.

if they are powder coated you will need many many applications of the stripper. buy a few cans.

I use aircraft paint stripper, great stuff!

updates on these, right i used a bog standard paint stripper from homebase and layered it on left it for like 35 mins and scraped with a metal scraper, then 2 coats of etch primer, then 3 coats of filler primer. We then rubbed them back to get rid of any bumps. Then went for a couple of colour cats and then 3 coats of clear. They are now sat in work in a room thats like 40deg c till tomorrow night. and tyres on monday. cant wait. i would show you but i have no idea how to post pics on this forum, (i searched but couldn't find out how )

Hmm, i have a question. If you wanted to...could you add a polished lip to that rim? How would you go about doing that?
