sline if possible
preferably a 2007 if i can get one under $25,000
any chance u think that will happen (i live in chicago and need to get one this weekend)....my current A4 has blew something where my rpm meter stays at 3rpm's even when the car is off....and my spedometer stays at zero when driving around...
anyways iv been thinking about a new audi and now is the time....
also what do you guys think about buying from a dealership vs. somewhere like luxury motors???
Set aside xenons and nav for a sec, cuz as we said; whether you go with those options from the dealer or after your purchase, they're gonna be pricey.
I think the S-line decision should be based on how much you're going to mod the car. If you don't really plan to touch the car, then probably go S-line for the slightly lower-looking suspension and more aggressive look (oh, and some pretty red badges
)
However, if you plan to do much to the car, S-line really isn't worth it. The only true "performance" difference over non S-line A4's is the suspension. From what I've heard (cuz I have a non S-line), it isn't even that much stiffer/better performing, but simply lower so the wheel-gap isn't quite as glaring. Aside from the suspension, if you change the front bumper, that really does away with most of the S-line package. The different truck and door blades, and some interior accents will be all that's left.
Personally, after putting on new shocks/springs, I can't believe I ever tolerated driving around on stock equipment - it feels like a new car. And like I said, the stock sport suspension may sit lower, but it doesn't shake a stick handling/performance-wise to aftermarket stuff.
EDIT: Also, don't get anything but CPO, it's just not worth the potential (or inevitable) headache down the road.
Hope that helps narrow it down!
