Are there supposed to be grill covers here?

The inlets for the intercoolers have nothing preventing leaves and other debris from entering the cowls. Is something supposed to be there? I have a regular '06 2.0T CVT FWD

What car has a piece preventing leaves from going into your intercooler?

^ that mesh looks really good, but you don't need to try to protect the intercoolers. Looks only

Ya I don't think intercoolers make your car more responsive they just cool down the air before it goes to your intake manifold...right? The air flow is constant.

Re: Are there supposed to be grill covers here?

You'll probably experience more heat soak if they're clogged with leaves and stuff, but I don't think they clog up that easily to worry about. I just look in there every time I wash my car, but there's never more than a few leaves or stupid helicopter things
    Ignorance is bliss.

I wish he would remove the bar in the fog grille though...it looks so much cleaner without it.

wait, warmer air = less boost and less power, did I miss something?

but if we're talking about response it may not have as much of an effect, and whatever he took out of that area probably was not enough to keep the intercooler from doing it's job.. but perhaps he did notice a bit of an improvement ?

I was thinking about putting grills in there too, you can see the piping for my front mount there and I want to cover it up as much as possible. jrok24k, what did you use to hold them in there?

hey, i actually used a ton of zip ties on the inside... its not visible on the exterior but when i drop the bumper it looks like frankenstein haha....also i used a vinyl type of gutter guard on it, not the metal ones
