Have you cleaned your MAF? (products avail in Vancouver?)

I think it's time to clean the MAF. Had the K&N drop in for about 2 years.

I know on the B6 forum search, guys have used CRC MAF cleaner. This would be ideal but I don't think Lordco or Canadian Tire carry this product.

If you have cleaned your MAF, what did you use and how were the results?

I got mine from Napa, Cdn Tire doesn't carry it. Just did mine on Saturday actually!

yeah, i have a NAPA nearby.

So to take the MAF, i think it's just 2 screws. Spray liberally all over the sensor (no wiping!), let air dry and replace.

Am I missing anything???

Kind of annoyed, why do they have to use to funnkyass screws for the MAF? Really, is that necessary. If you've cleaned your MAF, you know what i mean, the screw head that looks like a star with a circle in the middle. I don't have that screw bit, who does?

Anyways, ending up disconnecting the TIP and spraying liberally up there, letting it dry for 15 and putting it back on.

Wonder if it even reached the sensor much, sigh.
