ok guys another quick question for ya. this is my first audi and first awd car so u may think my question is stupid but still double checkin with you guys.

ok so im putting in a new wheel bearing and notice that my axle has some play to it. it does not come out of the gear so its not sliding out. when i used to work on my honda i know the axle always had a lil play like u could move in in and out and that was normal, just wanted to make sure it was the same.

    thanks guys

    Re: question about rear axle

Should have some play to let your tire go up and down without punching the shaft through the hub.

all independent suspensions are like that, they are supposed to have some play.
