Loud Vibration at idle... I found this, and need help!!

A few days ago I was driving around the shitty streets of Phoenix, AZ. I didn't hear anything break, but the end result is the picture you see here. I believe this plate has to do with torsion, but I'm not sure. The plate is not sitting flush with the subframe because the center bolt on the plate is loose and does not want to tighten.

    My questions are:

    1. I cannot find this assembly in the Bently Manuel, where is it?

    2. Why will the center bolt not tighten, and what can i do to get it tight?

    3. Any other relevant comments are appreciated.

This is my daily driver, i need it tomorrow, any help is appreciated.

Yep, my A4 is pretty cool.

Ouch... Dont drive it like that.

A: the center bolt is stripped (get new bolt)

B: the threaded hole is stripped (your fucked)

    80% its B.

Take it to a mechanic that knows there stuff and has welders.

that is the drivetrain stabilizer bar, the AWE DTS bolts up in place of that one. the large center bolt is one of the four subframe bolts, hopefuly you just need a new bolt and havnt stripped the threads on the car or worse.

take the whole thing off and look for any cracks. the tightening to a point and popping back out thing you described sounds like there may be crack around the hole or something. if the threads were just stripped it would keep spinning and spinning. at any rate i wouldnt drive like that, you can see your lower trailing control arm is attached right next to that, and its very very bad if your suspension arms were loose.
