Some fun / practicing in the snow

Snow was packed pretty hard so I decided to duct tape the camera onto the car and just drive around a bit.

First time driving in the snow/ice. Tried to do a few drifts to see how the car handles and practicing actually managed to save my car today on the road.

Haaa... She's 15 I think so probably too young for you 0_0.

Anyways I was pretty much out there to learn because I figured I'd better start practicing how to drive in the snow so I don't look like an idiot when I have to do it in real life. I just wanted to see how the car handled in the snow and how to get it under control / change spin angle.

Next time ill be much more aggressive.

Find a parking lot and lay out some cones or something in the shape of a road. That way, you can get really sideways and stay on the gas. You've got the basics. Just go faster, get comfortable and then take it back to the street.

Thanks man. If a cop sees you in a parking lot do they usually just ask you to leave if you don't give them any attitude or do they just give you a ticket immediately?

I'll look for a parking lot / buy some cones for next time.

It depends where you live. In PA, where people can drive in the snow, the cops might have time to worry about places like parking lots.
If it snowed in San Diego, the freeways would shut down, and the cops would get thousands of calls about accidents on surface streets. They wouldn't have time to deal with (or even care about) what happens in a parking lot.

People here flip out when it rains or when it drops below 50. Would be kinda comical to see what would happen if it did snow down there... Or up here for that matter.

Re: Some fun / practicing in the snow

Well, I do alot of parking lot donuts and such in MO. I think it all depends on your attitude and where you are man. If its empty, your alone or with 1 person, and your not being totally stupid, you should be fine. Especially if you get a chance to explain what you are doing. If your with a bunch of friends, or your a dick, then its ticket time. I was cought in a 45+ mph powerslide in this HUGE lot, more than a 1/4 mile long, like 2 poles. 1 at each end. Told me to take it easy and be carefull...

I would but I don't wanna be the creepy guy who goes "Hey there's this guy that saw my video and wants to friend you now". It would be an awkward conversation anyways.
