How do you remove the handbrake handle?

I searched and the only DIY I found had no real instructions and the pics were bad

I think on the underside there is a clip and you need to stick a flathead screwdriver down into the gap and push the clip up so you can slide the cover off.

Can someone please PM the instructions for me too, or post them here? I know there is this clip you should release somehow, but I didn't manage to do that.. Would really like to have my RS4 handle installed... :)

Kinda hard to explain it, but someone should have some pics.
Pull up on the handle so that it's raised. At the back of the leather e-brake handle is a clip. If you stick a flat screwdriver in there then you'll want to push down on that clip and it will release the handle. It will slide right off. Here is a picture of the part that is holding onto the handle. It's like a small L shaped thing that is holding onto the handle. If you look at your new handle, you'll see a hole in the flat metal prong that is sticking out. That's what this piece is holding onto.

How did you remove the other plastic cover of the handle. I can remove the leather cover, but I can't remove the other plastic cover on top of the handle. The picture shows great detail!!. I think I broke the cover and I need to replace it. Hope you can help
