Sound systems...EQ and Bassknob

Hey fella's

Im in the process of putting a Pioneer subwoofer setup in my car, and was wondering what equalizer settings you guys with systems opted for. Since the subwoofer will be providing the bass obviously what number EQ specs did you use to optimize vocals and such in your car?

For those of you who have aftermarket amps where did you place your bass knob controller? and say i didnt want to use my bass knob could i have just as much controll over the bass of my subwoofer using the factory symphony unit?

I guess before I answer I need some clarification. Which equalizer? The one in the radio (I have mine set flat) or in the cross-over (roll offs set depending on the frequency)?

The setting on the bass controller really depends on the exact sub (mine is on the second notch).
