to bleed the cooling system on a 99 1.8T AEB?? Used the DIY before and I dont have the same rad setup and unable to reach with my IC location. I could of sworn there was another spot other than having to burp via coolant tank. TIA

Well that would be where you flush it, but how where would you bleed out ALL the air? Im having heating problems and hoping to GOD that its not a failed heater core. T-stat could be the culprit but i've done coolant jobs before and have easily flushed, its just the actual bleeding I need so I can be sure there is no air in the system.

There are two hoses that run into your firewall up at the top that go to the heatercore. What you have to do is undo the clamp thats on one of them, i forget which one it is, then slide the hoes back. There is a hole in the top of the hose that u slide past the nozzel that its attached to, this allows air to bleed out of the system. If you think you have air in there your best bet is to drain out all the coolant and fill it again while you have this hole opened up. That way any air that gets in there will bleed out. The hosese are in the plastic shroud circled in red, pull that back and you should see one of them has a hole on top of it.
