    the metal tube where the dipstick funnel goes on...theres a stripped threaded fitting ........

    the 1.8t engine that i bought from specialized german recycling just has the metal tube but no fitting ....the fitting looks pressed...so the dipstick funnel wont fit....someone help...the engine that i bought is in the 03 a4 ...running is running fine...no codes when we scanned the ecu

    You need to describe your problem with more detail, it's not clear what the situation is here, that you need help with. Pics would help a lot.

    It's fine, that tube is for the dipstick tube to press onto.

    Tap out the sleeve from inside the crankcase and insert your own.They are the same across the board from 1999 onward.

    ya you just have to push the orange dip stick tube onto the metal tube. it has a fitting that seals it on there. just oder both parts (the sleave that your talking about, and the dip stick) of the dip stick when you do.
