    2002 BMW M5 anyone??

My dealership just got a silver 2002 BMW M5 in on trade. It only has 45,000 miles, has nav and is VERY clean. Its for sale at around $17,900 (<--- is that normal for M5's?? seems cheap to me). I was wondering if there was any interest in the car.

thats an awesome price for one hell of a car. only problem is the cost of maintenance and any work that will need to be done. otherwise i'd jump on it..

    Sounds like a good price.

The only person I know who has one hates his, though. Just about every time he pulls it out of the garage it has to go back to the shop for something.

I'm not saying that's how all of them are, because I really have no idea about their over-all reliability, but I know my friend's is a piece of shit.

There was a batch with carbon build-up problems, IDK if that's your friend's problem.

In general, a late model E39 M5 can be a great buy in the sub 20k market
