Avic D3 Radio reception HELP...

so i just finished installing the avic d3 in my gf 04 a4 1.8t and the radio reception is shitty. I already searched and found that you had to order the antenna adapter with the power antenna. Problem is i ordered that the 40VW53 and i dont get any radio reception at all.

anyone got any ideas?

Did you get the powered antenna adapter, and did you hook up the blue wire that comes with it?

That made a big difference in mine.

yeah i hooked the wire up and it sounded even worse. So i called up crutchfield and he said we had to get a different adapter. I read in the write up and realized the 40VW53 is for amplified antennas which i dont think the audis come with.
