push down on the tab and i believe you can't use the one from local store due to have a different design.

I'm talking about the rubber wiper inserts, not a replacement blade from the store. The $5 cheap inserts work, I just need help figuring out how it comes out??

Rubber insert just slides in the wiper arm. You can remove the old one by pulling on metal pins in the wiper arm using a nose-plier.
It is easier to work on the wiper arms away from the car so you don't accidentally crack your windshield.

Just take the blades off the arms. Use needle nose pliers to kind of pinch the barbed tabs at the end of the thin silver rods while pushing them out the opposite way - don't worry about breaking them because the inserts have new ones. I've used those same inserts without a problem - they fit perfectly.
