    Another temp sensor question

Problem: Car takes FOREVER to warm up! (like 60 miles or so)

I had the gauge reading wrong for a while so I replaces the sensor behind the motor over the summer. Than I was able to see how long the car took to really warm up. I didnt really care it took long cause it was summer and didnt need heat. Now it winter and it's cold!

I did a coolant flush cause It was due anyway but that did nothing.
I have noticed that the fans are turning on when I start my car sometimes but not always, even in the morning.
Check engine light just came on yesterday with a temperature sensor fault. I dont know if its the one at the bottom of the radiator coolant hose or the sensor on the thermostat housing.
Does this sound like a bad thermostat and sensor?

Do you think that would prevent my car from warming up over a faulty thermostat?

i'm not sure but it may stop the fans from turning on at start-up.
