I took a sharp right turn into a parking lot after driving for 45 minutes... the light blinked 4 times and then stopped... any ideas?

Check your brake fluid level. Sounds like it's low.

Or brake switch might need to be changed. My brake lights started flickering and it was the switch.

    Re: brake light started blinking

sorry to jack the thread, but my battery signal is on the dash. Car starts up fine even when cold, what gives? I didn't get a chance to measure the current across the terminals, but I assume its over 12V as it starts.

    Thanks

FYI, current is measured in amperes, voltage is measured in volts. I think you meant to say you haven't measured the voltage.

    lol yeah..

Battery is a voltage source, but it puts out current.. otherwise it wouldn't allow the starter to engage. you can have less volts and more amps, or more volts and less amps and it's the same power.

That doesn't affect the fact that you measure VOLTAGE across the battery terminals in VOLTS, and current is measured in AMPS by opening the wire and inserting the meter in series.

If the voltage is too low then some devices won't draw any current, so your theory is correct but your practice is wrong.

    You're absolutely right.
I just don't give voltage enough credit
