    Plans after winter....

So winter coming to an end Im starting to plan on doing something to my car, Ive saved up about 2k and just wanted to hear some opinions. So I got the chip, DV, b6 a4 rims (which I think ill keep, dont wanna spend 1k for new rims). So Im sure I will drop 1k into new suspension, H&R race springs Bilstein shocks. But idk what to do with the other 1k. All my maintanance is done. Got brand new tires about 2 weeks ago. Oil change done, everything is done. And Ive always done an end of the winter mod list cuz winters in chicago stop all my modding. Someone give me some ideas? anything from cosmetic, to engine based. Thanks! And I think Im happy with my k03s, so Ill stay away from BT maybe till next winter

    EDIT-forgot, got a custom cat-2.25 piping. =D

With $1,000 for suspension you could get coilovers. H&R w/Bilstein is ~$650 and you can install them yourself. Alignment will need to be done, so that ranges from $50-$125. If you plan on staying with the stock turbo, then maybe some Valeo Ecode w/HID kit or OEM Xenon. Then save the rest for your BT set up. One may suggest an fmic, but decide on what turbo you are going to run with later on before choosing size (so, that can also wait unless you worry about heat soak). My .02.

Yeh I was thinking HIDs too. For BT I was thinking T25 or T28, my buddy got a 240sx and hes running a T28 and after this summer hes going something bigger, so I can scoop that up from him. Is my 2.25 piping gonna be good enough for lets say the T28?

It is enough. Many would say to go a minumum of 2.5" when doing the exhaust from initial start (I went 2.75" on my k03s). But 2.25 is not too restrictive.

The ebay fmic is praised by many enthusiests . You could also check the classified section on here and fourtitude for ones such as Racetek if you don't want to pay full price.

I myself have a 55w 5000k HID kit from Retro-Solution. If you are going to get a kit, I would suggest the DDM Tuning ones, as I read great reviews on them (actually, there are a couple bad posts about them. but what product has 100% posotive fedback). 4300k is more of the yellowish and 6000k is a little tint of blue to it (anything after that is ). 5000k is like a perfect white to me. I still have yellow fogs with halogens, but you could also add 3000k HID to those or simply change the bulbs (there is a thread floating around with what bulb worked with great results).
