    In.pro mirrors finishing up help

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I just installed my brushed aluminum In.pro mirrors. Quality is very nice.. fitment is good as well. Im having trouble getting the actual mirrors to snap back onto the piece that moves them around. Anybody have any tips for me? I'll put some pictures up as soon as they are done.

Becareful, but just give them a little muscle and they will snap right on. I loved mine when I had them.

If you post a pic, I can tell you instantly how to do it. I've taken my stock ones off 3 times.

Re: In.pro mirrors finishing up help

yeah i deff want pics.. i wanna buy the brushed alum ones also.. but i heard from someone that when they got theirs they just looked like they were painted silver..

my car is already light silver so i definitely dont want that..

so after hearing that i figured maybe i should just get the in pro chrome ones for more contrast..

but i really wanted the brushed alum ones.. but not if they just look silver

You can look at my gallery images for pics of the chrome ones on my silver b7. I sold them yesterday because I got the s4 ones. Its just a matter of taste, both are quality IMO

i know your cars light silver also.. do you think the brushed ones give you enough contrast?? like is it even noticable??

i personally dont want the chrome, BUT i wouldnt wanna put on brushed and then not even be able to see a difference.. so thats making me want the chrome ya know

Understandable, if you wait until wednesday I'll have pics of both to show you the difference. They are in the mail as we speak. The chrome are very noticeable but I wanted the s4 originally so I finally got a good deal and jumped on it.

They do have a little bit of a look like they are painted but they reflect light differently than paint does.

I ended up cracking the glass trying to push in too hard . My fault completely. I think i have been snapping them in correctly.. they just seem to snag a little bit on the housings so they don't move as smoothly. Anyways, they are on for now. Im gonna go to audi to get a new mirror so ill have them check them.. make sure they are snapped in correctly. Im headed to class right now but if i get home with enough light i'll take some pictures.. otherwise for sure tomorrow.

I cracked mine aswell, but I did it getting the mirrors out. :p
I have run the brushed alu inpros now for about 6-7months. They look more like painted silver at this point. :p Also......Be very careful not to get degreaser(or what ever it is called) on them...That will leave spots.

They definitely aren't the brushed look i was looking for but can't beat them for 170$. Here are a few pictures. Can someone check their hinge on the mirror and tell if mine are the same? Looks like they could go down a quarter inch maybe but not sure.

did you know your supposed to take the class off before you touch the mirror cover? and then you aren't supposed to put the glass back in until the mirror cover is on perfectly?

Re: In.pro mirrors finishing up help

yeah it appears the inpro 'brushed alum' just looks more like a matte silver color with no real brushed look.. it still looks good though, i just dont think it would work on my light silver car.

i think i either need to go with OEM s4 mirrors or inpro chrome..

nsmith, please post those comparison pics when you get the time
