    Don't have an S4 but my A4 can hang with the best of them at the track..

    If you ever thought about doing it, do it!!! I got hooked the first time I did it and can't wait for summer to come...

    I just bought my 05 B6 S4 and i cant wait to take it to the track. It will probably be another month or so because i want to get new tires and an exhaust system first.

    You don't need a "fast" or "sporty" car to take it to the track. Take that A4 out and have a blast! Stock! ACNA events are a great way to get started.

    I started tracking with a 1.8T VW and now the S4. The problem with tracking is that it's so fun, so addicting, so rewarding that you are always looking for more. Power isn't everything. It's a nice compromise between a good handling car with decent power that is reliable enough and that you can work on with some ease.

    So I love the S4 but I gotta say it would be a ton of fun to pick up a 4000 Quattro or the like and make it a dedicated track car. Oh, I'm slipping down the slope...

    Not me. I take my bike to the track instead. I don't think I would enjoy taking my car, for fear of too much wear and tear. If I dump the bike at the track, I can accept that.
