Where can I get my in-dash dvd player installed? 04 audi a4

Hi guys. I've been reading a lot of your posts and it seems like most of you are able to install stuff yourself. Yeah, I don't mess with that stuff since I have no knowledge about cars. The 6 cd player got that error-3 code where the cds are stuck and if I bring it in, they will fix it under warranty with a 100 dollar deductible.

I was considering buying an aftermarket dvd player instead but was wondering where I can bring it to have it installed? Audi definitely won't do that, so will Best Buy do a good job on an a4? Anyone have experienced with them? And how much does their install service cost you if anyone has had them done there. Just the price of installation, excluding the deck

bestbuy did all of my installs. i wouldn't go anywhere else.

you will need to buy a dash kit though because i dont think they have audi dash kits readily available.

    pricing isn't too bad either.

So does that mean they are able to install any deck I bring? Or does it have to be purchased through them? I was thinking of going somewhere that is cheaper, maybe buying it online. So yeah, what else would I need to bring to them besides a deck and dash kit? Can they provide the rest? And thanks for replying so fast!

i think its a free install if you buy it through them, so it might be worth your while to buy it for a little more there rather than pay for install.

Youll also get a warrenty if its installed through them.

i work at best buy=] not the install bay but for best buy mobile wich is a cellular store within bestbuy, i say do it u cant go wrong, they do good work, everyone is certified and you get a lifetime warranty, if anything goes wrong they fix it, best of all it legally wont void your warranty because it was installed by a certified tech, best buy also has some good stuff, i just bought the kenwood ddx-512 (installed myself) and i love it, they have a really nice pioneer bt9000 if you have the money for it.

are they able to provide/get these items themselves or do I have to purchase it elsewhere and give it to them?

I really appreciate everyone's responses, I've been to other audi forums and they're never as active as this one is.

I checked out the Scosche dash kit and it's not a Double Din kit... will a good shop be able to fabricate this kit to make it work for an AVIC F90bt? Is there a better dash kit out there to buy?? Metra?

I would buy the unit and all install parts on your own and then just have best buy install it. They likely will not have everything you need in stock. As I recall you need the head unit plus about $100 in brackets, dashkit, and wire adapters.

DIY isn't bad either. If you know what you're doing it's only a hour or two job, even taking your time. I spent more time adjusting my brackets for a perfect fit than I did wiring the unit.

Can you guys link to to the things I would need to provide best buy other than the deck itself. I cant seem to find a double din dash kit. The one i see is a double single din.

you are supposed to cut the bar off in the double single din dash kit, single din+ single din= double din lol, i found out there is no dedicated double din dash kit available through them, this is the cheapest option

You could have searched the threads and found this all very quickly. I had them on hand so here are the parts u need in addition to the headunit. I'm not going to provide links, you can use google on your own.

Metra 70-1787 wiring harness (for BOSE and non-BOSE)
    Metra 99-9102 dash kit
Head unit Mounting bracket. (Pioneer ADT-VA133 kit or similar)
    Metra 40vw53 antenna adapter
Trim Ring. (Supplied with Head unit or Mounting Kit.)
