Timing Belt Replacement?

Can anyone in the Southeastern Wisconsin recommend me a place to take my 2.7T for a Timing belt replacement other than the stealership? I would like to have this done sometime this spring. Also, what would I be expecting to pay for this major service. I know its gonna be painful but a heads-up would be nice. I greatly appreciate the assistance.

it would cost around 1300 for a dealer or shop, DIY it costs 300 and takes a day or two...its worth the extra 1000 in savings

Thats about what I figured it would be. I've thought about doing it myself once i seen some of the kits that these companies like ECS have out. Definitely gonna be thinking about it over then next few months.

Yeah, TB is not that bad. Just trying to get the dam bumper off and aligned right afterwards is a pain. LOL.

Again, if you need any assistance (i.e. tools, another helping hand) I'm more then willing to help.

I'm currently in the middle of replacing the heads on my car. Should have her running by spring.

if you can make it in Northern Illinois
we can do it for you for $500.00 labor + whatever parts
i have a shop, and my buddy Adam did 3 million timing belts on all VAG cars

12 last year for me. I can do it for you in 5-6 hours correctly on a sunday with all the proper tools to get your timing done right. I do pretty good work for people around here. I think you could ask some of the guys on here. I'm in Hartland for jobs.

Thanks Rob. Pretty much whatever you need short of building the internals of an engine I can do. Some of the more labor intense jobs I take out to my buddy so we can crank them out faster. I work out of Hartland, he has his shop in Waukesha. I live in Tosa and work on Hwy 100 so I cover some ground.

Nice, I need my corners cleared too. Been trying to figure out how to do that also. I'm in Butler in Waukesha County so I am near everyone. Now I need to find out how to re-pay everyone for the help!!
