Tint?

I'm looking to tint my car pretty dark, but I wanna know how dark is too dark for the Northwest. What does everyone have or what has everyone tried out, and what is your opinion on percentage of tint to get.

I've got 15%, ran it on my last two cars, and wish I could get 10-12% now. Coming next is a 3 inch dark strip across the top of the windshield to get it darker.

I'm running 20% and it is a bitch to see out my windows/rear windshield at night. If there aren't any lights around I'm virtually blind.

I love the way it looks and functions during the day so I'm willing to take the compromise.

Also, Carlos at Darkside Tinting does a fantastic job with really fair prices.

Just get the whole windshield tinted. It makes a huge difference.

Legally, you can't go darker than 35% in the PNW but many people still run 20-15% on their car and open the sunroof if they see a cop to let light in so the tint seems lighter.

I was running 35% in the front and 20% in my previous car, but am currently fishbowling the A4

Over by carnutz on Northup Way in Bellevue. Kinda pricey, but they do QUALITY work.

Dark Side tinting in Lake City. Carlos owns and operates the shop and does a fantastic job.

Cost me just over $200 to do all all the windows on my A4 at 20%.

I've used Prestige Window Tinting in Lynnwood, Andy the owner does great work and is pretty reasonable priced. I have refered many freinds and family to them and have had no complaint's!

Sweet. Thanks for all of the advice guys, I'm gonna save this thread to my Firefox and come back to it whenever I save up $200-300 for my tint job. I'll be going to one of these places, not sure which one, but thanks for all of the help!

When I got my windows done there they were on auto row in bellevue behind GMC dealer. That is now an empty dealership though so remember that. I am pretty sure they are next to bellevue auto performance now.

Got my tint done a couple days ago, Carlos was the man, did a great job! I paid $225 for all the windows except the windshield, 20%. Here's the outcome, I know they aren't the coolest pics, but it's all I have for right now. Next planned add-on: Tinted tail lights.

DUDE, you should have checked NWM first. I found a hook up for NWM members where its $100 + tax FLAT for all NWM members in any tint percent (5%, 20%, 35%) doesnt matter if its a wagon, or a sedan, or whatever, $100+tax FLAT.

let me know when you get the second tint done.

im loving it. My side windows came out great, but need to call them about my rear window. I was in a rush that day due to work, and rushed the guy so the edges are still kinda bubbly around the dot matrixs. But other than that, everything is GREATT

get the entire windshield tinted 50%... the strip across the top looks like sh*t
