    A question for parentals (childseats)...

What are you guys doing to protect your rear seats from indentations and wear from child seats? I recently noticed some slight creases in my seat and have since rolled up some towels and placed them between the child seat and the pad that i have on the seat to distribute the pressure that the child seat puts on the leather which seems to be helping, but i am curious if there is a better solution.

    What are you guys doing.

I use something similar and it does a great job protecting the bottom portion of the seat, but where i am having an issue is on the back prortion of the seat about a foot down from the headrest. The pad that i use does not go up as high as it should or that i need it to, and thats where i am having the issue.

The pad I listed above does have a back protector, but I haven't removed my seat to see if it is doing it's job. It does go up pretty high so hopefully it's high enough. Maybe I'll check when I get home.

Re: A question for parentals (childseats)...

I just checked my seat and I have no indentations of any kind on it.

I'm using the Lionheart seat protector like FastB7S4. I've got a Recaro babyseat also. I haven't moved the baby seat for at least a year.

    I hope this helps.

Nice, then I shouldn't either cause I have a Recaro seat as well. My wife is pregnant again so now I'm going to have 2 car seats back there which I'm not really looking forward to.

Re: A question for parentals (childseats)...

Wifey and I have the Recaro Signo seat, it looks badass and all, but getting our daughter in and out of it is such a PITA!! We have the seat on the passenger side in the back, and the combination of the seat's design and the B6 S4 rear door size creates a real headache

Even with adjusting it, it seems like she's almost sitting up rather than laying in the damn thing....oh well........

Thanks. Yeah it's going to be a squeeze, especially since you have to use a rear facing seat for the first year. I have the Recaro Young Sport and the only thing I don't like about it is that it is front facing only. I have a rear facing seat that you can carry with you (base stays in the car), but that can only hold up to 20 pounds. What about the in between stage when the baby outgrows that and when the baby is one and can face forward? I know Recaro makes one (Como or was it the Signo?) that can be rear or front facing and can be used for newborns but it isn't as nice looking as the Young Sport and I want 2 matching seats. Luckily, with my first, she was smaller so I stretched the first seat out to about 11 months and then just stuck her front facing in the Young Sport. Maybe I'll luck out again.

Or maybe I should just trade in the S4 and get an A8L. I'll have plenty of room then.

Re: A question for parentals (childseats)...

I have a recaro booster and the regular recaro toddler seat back there. I have towels under the bottoms. Over the towels I have cheap/thick black blankets doubled up. I have the blankets on the seat backs and on the bottoms. To protect from milk splatters from my son's batman straw cup....

I do like that deal up there posted from amazon. Looks nice.

I would also get a set of these

    http://www.amazon.com/SafeFit-Kick-M...1699394&sr=8-6

they will save the back of the front seats from muddy feet.

Re: A question for parentals (childseats)...

i skipped child seats altogether. For me to use them, I would need to squeeze 3 back there which is impossible. So I got child seat belt straps instead. It makes use of the seatbelts and are totally adjustable to suit the child's height and posture. It allows for the car's seat belts to conform to a child's size. It won't work for kids younger than 5 though. I don't have a pic on hand and i ran a google but couldn't find the one i have.
