not true...because if it was, the Lexus, Toyota, Honda, Acura and Subaru reports wouldn't be glowingly positive. I always fill out my survey for every vehicle...and to be honest whether I'm happy or dissatisfied, it doesn't matter. I don't pay $40 a year for the membership only to fuck it up by not being honest.

That's what the survey does...but rather than have it come from a biased source (dealers who want their cars to sell) the owners of the vehicles reply about *PROBLEMS* in general categories they've had to have the vehicle repaired for. If there are no problems, the vehicle looks good on the survey. Simple.

seriously? By this rationale, Ford/GM/Chrysler would have abandoned 90% of their product line. Just look at this thread...most of the people on it aren't familiar with what Consumer Reports is
really all about...thus don't have the resource to guide their buying...and thus don't know that Tregs are really this bad. Speaking of another definition of 'not selling' there are a few VW sales reps on Audizine who talk about how they can barely give away the Tregs...they're NOT selling! The other post here in this thread about a VW master technician saying the vehicles are a disaster should help you come around as well.
