Ahhhh Help Me

i lost something very small and of pretty decent value under the plastic that surrounds the area where the shifter is located. It fell where the ashtray is there seems to be a gap that is not visible but i can feel its there(between the ashtray and where the plastic is). SO what i need to know is does the plastic snap off easy becuase i dont want to damage my piano plack if i dont have to. help me pleaseee

Yeah just pull up where that trim meets the ashtray and gently work it out. Theyre just typical panel fasteners holding it in place that snap in.

Then step 2 is carefully package up your piano black interior and send it to me and i will love you forever :)

its a high gloss trim finish...factory option, kinda like what samsung LCD TVS and other brands have for trim around the screen....

if needed your can remove the radio unit to better look behind there with a filing cabinet folder corner hook to remove the unit instead of buying the actual keys from audi...Idk how to remove the thermo controls if needed im sure someone would chime in on that part.

yeah it pops off, it is only held it by a few clips and removing it should cause any damage. Might I ask, what did you drop down there?

If it's what I think it is, then it would be best to ask someone with radio keys to pull out your radio, then yank out your ac, and finally, pull out your ashtray. It's a pain but worth not breaking the 'plastic' thing
