I Need Some Help!!!!!!!

ok so i had posted a thread about my check eng light. well 2 day after work turned my car on.. heard my turbo spoil right as i turned it on which was wierd to me.. my car sound different well i was driving home and could hear my car whistle loud and kinda of a spraying sound when i would hit the gas.. at first i thought i blew my dv.. then i thought my turbo went bad but there was no smoke.. so i get home pop the hood look and i see sum red glowing... my xat is comming off so that why i could hear my turbo so loud.. so my question is what am i looking at money wise??

if the turbocharger or cat are glowing, you probably have an exhaust restriction. if your exhaust manifold and turbo are glowing, you may be dumping fuel

what do you mean your cat is coming off? are the cat guts (catalyst biscuit) chunking or flaking? or is the entire cat broken at the flange or coming unbolted or something? if the cat housing is ok, and there is not a lot of rust, i would say make a test pipe out of it for free (just labor and it is a PITA). if the cat housing is damaged or you need to pass emissions, i would say buy a high flow catalyst which is usually less than an oem replacement.

haha sorry i was just fkn rushing to type.. i had a buddy come over and he helped me look more in to it to find the exact prob with it.. my cat welding came off the gasket.. so its completely separated now.. which made my turbo spoil loud and no sound from exhaust.. do you guys think there going to have to take out the gasket and start from the turbo??and pipe it all the way back. i was thinking of just geting my test pipe and just geting a custom exhaust..
