One thing to remember, while the stock sport suspension may be lower, just about anything aftermarket like Koni, Eibach, H&R, etc...is gonna significantly outperform it from a handling standpoint. Also, I saw that one thread recently where people with stock sport suspension complain about how bouncy it is/how harsh the rebound can be when going over bumps.
One other thing....and I mean this with the utmost respect because every once in a while there are deals (or decent used sales), but it's a bit misleading to say the Stasis StreetSports are a grand "give or take." Consistently, when new and purchased from a vendor, they are more like $1,150 - $1,300 + tax, not to mention install labor. Sometimes, those little differences can make or break a decision, or lead to disappointment when someone gets excited about buying a product, then finds out it's more than they initially thought.
To the OP, sounds like a shock/spring combo is more up your alley; you don't need to go as low as coilovers can, and it will save you a few hundred $$'s. They usually run between $500-$800. PM me if you wanna know about my Koni shock/spring combo, which I LOVE, and ran me $725 + tax and was $1,250 including tax, labor, and everything installed. They sit nice and low (but not too low), and the handling will outperform the stock sport suspension for sure.
