Me too! I cant wait to get the rims on this week! Its funny because the only bright thing on the car is the windshield now... I have always been against tinting it due to safety reasons..but that black out bug in my heads keeps whispering to me

The great thing about the dark tint is that it darkens the gray leather interior and hides blemishes!

    Re: Painting Chrome Window Trim

to be honest it reminds me of a 1.8T A4 02-05 haha my friend has one, and he wants the chrome trim, but only the 3.0 a4s have it and i was thinking of eliminating my chrome trim on my silver a6 but i dont know if i want to anymore, not my taste after seeing it done.

Damn, I liked the chrome better...I love the headlamps though!! Go ahead and tint the windsheild!! 33-35%!!! make sure to use a metallized titanium film!! lasts longer and great for optical clarity!

    Re: Painting Chrome Window Trim

Well most S or RS models don't have the chrome trim. The B5 S4 has an almost-black, dark chrome look. Thats what made me do it. Then the B5 RS4 has a sweet satin silver that looks amazing on the right color. Black not being one of them. But I saw a real B5 RS4 Avant in red with satin silver and it was incredible.. My car is filthy, but I will post pics of mine on this thread soon too.. Trust me, it looks great..

If I do get any I will just have it re-done. I am having my front & rear Audi rings (and wheels) done in Atlas Gray Metallic from the S8 (a medium-dark silver, not quite gun metal but not bright silver) and I am thinking the trim would be nice that color too..

But I don't see why it would chip any more/less than any other part of the car.. Its not rattle can, its real auto body paint like the rest of the car...
