How winter beat me...

So a while ago my bumper tore off while going in reverse in a parking lot... snow was too deep and my car was too low, good combo.

So anyway here's the damage for all of you to see.











And here's the part of the bumper that came off



Here's a crack with a big chunk missing



Yet another large crack



This part cracked on both the top and bottom



This side has a chip on the top corner and a crack across the far top end




It's pretty sad.....

this is why i love running stock bumpers all year. i can just not care about these things happening. my front bumper gets beat to hell during the winter

yeah it pretty much sucks. It makes me cringe whenever i walk to my car And my gf always makes a sad face when she sees it and she keeps reminding me "ohhhh your cars looks so sad and pitifull".

sorry to see that...just don't backup a lot of snow got stuck in my bumper, wheel wells and broke the flaps in front of the front wheels.

^^ haha i would have gone forward cause it was parallel parking spots, but 2 assholes at the other end of the parking lot were stuck and blocking both sides of the way out. So due to the way i was facing i had to back up to turn around from my parking spot and use the other exit. And that's when trouble came...

And to think, the temperatures went up and all the snow started to melt and go away the next day. By 2 or 3 days later it was pretty much all gone. If i could have just held out 1 day longer i would still have a bumper with only a minor crack in it!!!!

omg i know, it's been on the news ALL DAY LONG. This has been all the news i've seen...

Well considering i have no money to get a new one now, nothing for a couple months probably

But that just means i have a long time to think and make it perfect! I haven't been able to decide really. I like the USP/Kerscher carbon fiber splitter combo, but i also really like the caractere and oetty fronts. But i want something not a lot of people have and those are the 3 most done bumpers out there. So i thought about rieger, but it's kinda flat from a side view, and the center grill area doesn't match up with the top and i really think that would bother me pretty quick. And i'd really have to see votex in person cause from pics i really can't tell if i would like it...


And also very important is that i get some Stasis coilovers before next winter to avoid this happening again.

Here's the car the day i brought her home. So before i blacked out my grill, but the bumper wasn't my favorite, but it definitely grew on me. It was a rieger lower bumper and it was really low and had a pretty aggressive look. And not too many people i've seen had it so i actually liked it quite a bit. This isn't a great pic i know, it was a little dark and a bad angle.

Yeah i'm pretty sure this is the old style. I haven't seen the new style though. Unless the new style is the one they have up on A4 mods. But i think that one is a full bumper cause it has it's own center grill. This one just fit around the stock lower grill and right up to the stock upper bumper.

oh damn, yeah the old one is sexy. But the one i had is better looking in person i swear lol. It doesn't look so narrow and crowded. But the only problem with the old one i have is what i said above, that the lower grill isn't matched up to the top grill. It just doesn't look right. But otherwise a good looking bumper. How much is the old one?

shitty... ugh, why don't they come out with anything new and cool for the B6? It's all the same old bumpers over and over. Makes it hard to have originality when there's only a couple good looking choices.

atleast it gives you a chance to get something nice cause the reiger was ugly

It is a stock bumper with the lower piece missing. The rieger was only the lower section. And that's exactly my thought, i wanna get something sick.
