I've had Eibach Prokits on my BMW in the past and they never compromised stock ride quality, however, have never had H&Rs.
Of course this is all subjective. My thoughts were, the car looks better lowered with just springs but I felt the ride suffered. Seemed like you are spending 400 dollars to make your ride worse, especially when you remember how good the new B8 chasis rides stock. And one thing about the B8, it rides much better than the B7. The chassis is much improved. When riding in the car equipped with coilovers, which actually sits lower than with springs, the ride was just as good, if not better in some situations. I guess I just think that if you are going to lower, you might as well get a set of shocks to match the springs at least.
I have heard of people using Eibachs springs and not feeling like the ride was compromised but I don't think Eibach's lower as much as H&R. Once again, this is just my opinion. It may be best for you to wait and ride in cars equipped with different setups to judge for yourself. There will be more products coming out for our cars soon but I do understand getting impatient, I am. I usually have my cars lowered as soon as I get them.
Peace
