    howdy,

so i've been lurking on these forums since i got my a4 in august and decided to finally grow some balls and post. i've been doing a lot of searching so i don't ask stupid questions that've been answered already, but i'm sure it's bound to happen, so let me apologize in advance haha.

    the car: 2005 b6 a4 1.8t Quattro, CPO, 6-speed, 33.5k miles, cold weather & special edition packages, 1 owner - leased

obviously i have grand plans for this car, but i'm entering my last semester of college and am shit broke (and hopefully i'll be able to find a job by may in this economy!) so most of them are just dreams/ goals at this point.

    EDIT: pictures!

also, my mod goals for 2009: bilstein pss9s, milltek exhaust, rns-e, rear sway bar, and window tint.

i didn't realize how high the stock suspension sits until i took the pictures haha

    Re: a humble introduction

welcome. the answer is 170chp, which is nothing. if you've ever driven anything else which you probably have, then you should have noticed this car has great looks but is lacking some power. but that's ok because the engine is plenty moddable. anyway have fun, dont let it bankrupt ya lol

    welcome!

the ecodes are almost impossible to get right now. they have been on backorder for a long ass time. i ordered mine about 3 months ago and when i call awe, they have no idea when they will be in.

as for the usp front and rear, yo can t do a usp rear unless you plan on modifying the rebar behind the bumper so you're better off just getting an s4 rear bumper which i think looks a lot better and it is one big piece not two halves like the stock/usp bumper

Welcome!!! Take your time and get a good parts list and purchase/install order. I didn't touch my car till after warranty. Then I started with spark plugs, coil packs, then oil changes... I upgraded my clutch when it wore out @ 90k mi, also did exhaust then cause it was off the car @ that time and the Stasis 40/60 diff for the same reasons. Do what u can and what works for ur budget. Ask if u need help choosing what to do 1st and so on. Above all HAVE FUN with ur mods.

    Re: a humble introduction

build the engine(top and bottom end) to 2.0 L + GT3076R turbo + supporting mods. there is a silver USP getting done right now!!! that will get you very very nice numbers for a daily driver.

lastly, you failed in your first thread for not posting pictures of your car. hehe

well i mean the pss9's, sway bar, and milltek would help with performance (mainly handling), and i get to keep 'em when i do go for the power mods... and the rns-e and window tint aren't too costly or too much trouble and they're mods that i'd really like.

and i was thinking i'll just save and wait up until post-warranty and just go all out straight to a BAT setup.
