How much fluid do I need for a complete brake flush on my 06 S4?

Been hearing all kinds of different numbers, 1 liter, 1.5, 2.5-3. No idea whats right but at $18 for a half liter I'd like to know so I don't accidentally buy twice as much as a I need. Just getting some higher performance stuff before I go to a track day.

Have it narrowed down to ATE blue and the Wilwood 600 stuff.

I just did my '05 with 1.5 liters of Motul 600, and that was plenty. Usually I can reduce the amount of fluid required by withdrawing all of the old fluid from the reservoir with a baster, but the S4's design puts something in the way that prevents that.

That price seems high, I seem to recall ATE Super Blue runs about $12-15 or so a liter.

Yes, ATE is $12 a liter from tire rack, but both Wilwood and Motul are more than that for 500 ml. Trying to decide if they are worth the extra cost.
