What is 'AIR LEATHER' for RS4 shift knob?

Looking at RS4 shift knobs... some sites say AIR LEATHER.. what does that mean? Is that the leather part below the knob?

Man these things are pricey..$300+...talk about high profit margin Does anyone know where I can get one new with a better price?

Btw, I notice 25th quattro knob looks the same as RS4's? Wonder if they are cheaper...

that basically means leather with air. =P

perforated leather is often called "air leather". I think I bought mine from Stratmosphere a year or so ago. At the time it was maybe 220. I used to see them on the classifieds but haven't in a while.

Ya, they're about $350 everywhere now...just got mine from ECS cause I got $100 in gift cards there for xmas, should be here early next week! Good choice!
