    Re: coilover questions

You can pretty much put the car on the ground with our Vogtland kit.
Not that I'd recommend it at all.

haha X2, that wouldn't be smart to talk down about your product.

I have vogtlands and with 19's you can go real low if you want but bottoming out is inevitable with being so low.

teh specs on your website say 1.5-3 in. does that mean +1.5 to -3.0 range or what?

    Re: coilover questions

it means that it will drop the car 1.5 inches to 3 inches depending how you set them. An s4 would look like a monster truck with a 1.5" lift, lol

    Re: coilover questions

The height range specs are to TUV sepcifications, which don't necessarily match actual ranges. Actual height ranges are more like -.5" to -3.5".

    Re: coilover questions

has anyone run the tien basic coilovers? the specs are below, I just ordered some cheep as balls. I'm a little nervous coming from the subaru world where tein is not thought of as a making quality products, that and the front spring rate

    Re: coilover questions

Ya the Teins seem way too high up front, with 900 lbs you might be able to feel rice grains on the pavement.

Vogtlans run 550-590 up front (progressive) and 510 out back (linear) front what I have read online.

    Re: coilover questions

Why are the spring rates soo high? is it a shitty shock body that would bottom out if the spring rate wasn't like 80000lbs?

    Re: coilover questions

    Well...
Ohlins run up that high as well, but the rear is closer in rates to the front, maybe even a smidge higher.

Granted this is their race setup thou.

Anything much lower then 25.5" really hurts the handleing of the car IMHO. I have Vogtland GT's and once the car settled in at 25.125" it felt really bouncy. Bumped it up to 25.5" and it feels great now.

    remember form follows function....

    Cheers,
    Jim
