DRL Bulb -PIAA 1157?

Anyone tried using or know if these bulbs (PIAA 1157 Extreme White) are safe to replace the stock daytime running light bulbs with? I know there have been issues with some of the other bulbs.

Yeah - they're fine, I used to use them. They show a somewhat whiter light.......but nowhere near led.

dont waste your $$. They are very blue. I had them for about 5 minutes, and have been sitting in my box of "money wasted" items ever since.

yeah, the bulb itself is blue so the reflector housing will reflect blue and look very ricey...when turned off that is. when on, it will look like your typical HID "look" bulb.

ive thought about using yellow drl's but im not sure how they would look...ricey eh?

I don't think yellow on would look bad, but turned off and reflected yellow in the housing would look like crap.

What about those silver turn signal bulbs that still shine yellow, but have a mirror finish when off? I got some from SPP years ago for my ecodes.

good call, i might get another set of the chrome just to try them out on the DRL's
