Experiencing a weird problem with windows

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
For the second time in about four weeks, I have come out of the house to find all the windows in my C5 s6 rolled down. each time, the car has been parked in my driveway for a few days, and the inexplicably, the windows are down. I get in, start the car, and roll the windwos up without a hitch, and the factory alarm seems to be working fine. What would cause the windows to drop or activate by themselves? Has anyone come across a problem like this? Any help would be greatly app.

maybe a relay or something to do with the master control switch on the drivers door...could also be as random as a window channel..the runner for the glass.....Take it up to Audi before the issue becomes critical!!!

Check the drains in the battery tray under the hood. I've heard similar issues when the drain clogs and water runs down to the passenger front corner where some control modules sit. All sorts of weird electrical gremlins can pop up.

Re: Experiencing a weird problem with windows

Update: Problem turned out to be a faulty door latch assembly (part number 4B1-837-015-H). Circuit kept triggering the mirco switches, causing the windows to roll down and unlock the doors.

Man that is weird. I'm surprised your alarm wasn't constantly going off with the windows down. Even with the motion sensor adjusted, you figure something would blow in and set it off. Regardless, good to hear its fixed.
