    Re: Wideband, any good?

I've used it and been happy with it.

IIRC there's a white wire you can hook up to some laptops or datalogging software too. I used it with HP Tuners though

    Re: Wideband, any good?

The LM-1 is a good choice. However, if you don't need the gauge, the LC-1 much cheaper and just as effective.

You can get LC-1 kits on ebay for around $199 with all the hardware and the logging software. You will want to tap into your RPM signal so you can log O2 values along with RPM to get a true sense of where the AFR values are occuring.

    Re: Wideband, any good?

Heres the cheapest LC-1 price I've seen....And they're an authorized dealer, which means Innovate will honor the warranty if anything goes wrong (which, according to the Innovate forums, they DO)

Also, I posted a thread a while back asking for wideband comparisons and ended up finding an article with extensive results from a wideband challenge:

    Re: Wideband, any good?

someone selling an used AEM wideband locally for $180cdn, worth it?

But here is what i found,

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Innov...Q5fCarQ5fParts

worth to get the LM-1 over LC-1 for $100 more?
The only differences between the LM-1 and LC-1 is the AFR gauge right?

LM-1 is handheld and the LC-1 is a controller that you install in your car.

If you wanted a LC-1 I sell them too... then get the VEI dual display AFR/boost gauge!

Keep in mind that the article in Ford Muscle for the wideband shootout was sponsored by Innovate. Not saying it's a bad product but just keep it in mind. I know bassed uses one and really likes it.

Zeitronix also did really well in an article done by Import Tuner in 2004. I'm not sure who sponsored that one but again, keep it in mind. IIRC it was beat by the Motec unit but it was a front runner.

I have a Zeitronix that I still need to install so I'll let you know what I think once I get it installed.

    Re: Wideband, any good?

I owned the LC-1 and XD-16 gauge and never once had a problem. Always worked great! It also uses a bosch sensor which can be obtained at a local parts store. This can come in handy if you need one right away.
