I'm surprised no one offers a side grille like that.. All you'd have to do is have it painted and then pop the center one out and put the mesh in.. its easy.

Yeah my buddy just cut the slats out, and then used bondo. It came out reaaaaaaally nice. He's a master at his craft.

Well it's diamonds instead of slates. It's a much more aggressive feel. Just like the e36 m3 Luxury package had slates and the sports package had mesh.

I dont have pictures of the back but what you basically do is gut the insides of the stock mesh and leave the outside intact. Then you cut the RS4 mesh to fit over it and crazy glue it onto place.

Just follow the tech article from AW. The more time you take make it right, the better it will come out. I'll try to take pictures later today.

You're not wrong...at 75 dollars a pop though and needing 3 sections, that's an expensive DIY, although it's obviously the best match.

Those are the OEMs for an RS4 bumper, there are some modifications to make them fit on our stock bumpers... Think of the fog light surrounds, etc. Also, some say there is a gap that is created in the middle section since there is a slight height difference between the center section of an RS4 bumper versus a stocker.

they look very good but you can do even better. that's the mesh from home depot, i did the same to mine but with a little bit larger of a diamond pattern which matches the RS4 grill perfectly.

i say go back and get the larger mesh plastidip it and put it on!

Very nice. This is the way to do an S4, I actually prefer the s4 bumper w/the RS grill mods to the actual RS4 bumper as the S4 bumper has the outlet vents in front of the tires, I never really cared for those.

I think I'm going to paint the brushed aluminum part of the grille black, and then the mesh part of the grille the same color as the lower mesh.

they are... VERY similar mesh can be had from LLTEK... They produced a replica thats very close to true RS4 mesh, they use it on all their bumpers.. It's ABS plastic, so it's already black just like the "real" stuff, etc... I'm getting mine today, I'll make a thread to save people some money potentially... 88 dollars for three pieces. Beats 75 a pop for pieces that aren't perfect.

Thanks. Love the Shining. I'll post some good shots... I can't wait, I've been rocking the AUTOX look for a while now (4-5 months) without side grilles hahaha. So I have the grilles painted Santorin already, done at a shop, now they are just awaiting mesh which is coming today. So pix later
