apr stage 2

has apr come out with out with a stage 2 program? I was told by my local dealer that they have not yet released it but I think they don't know what their talking about. Thanks Rob

I find it funny how an average enthusiast can know more about a company's product then a distributer that company has. But don't tell the guy at the tuning shop though. It might hurt his ego.

I have REVO stage 2 and all it requires is a down pipe I believe and it costs $50 if you have stage 1 REVO

APR has a ECU upgrade and that's it... they have additional files for test pipe fuel pump and their stage III setup

but for stage I and so-called stage II, it's the same ECU mapping (what i was told)

Correct. There is a small difference that accomodates for our FSI Fuel Pump.

apr has had a stage two file for a REALLY long time. I personally didnt like it, which is why i left and went to REVO. When i had APR, i had first just a regular stage 2, then when i got the fuel pump, i put the "fuel pump file" which did nothing. Then i had water-meth installed, so i switched to 100 octane file, with the Fuel Pump File. It still didnt work, so i am now happy with my car and the way it Runs on REVO

Incorrect. We have a Stage 1/2 which means it works for Stage 1 cars or Stage 2 cars. A Stage 1 car is only an ecu upgrade and everything else stock and a Stage 2 car is an ecu upgrade with bolt-ons that don't affect fueling or the turbocharger delivery.

We also have a Stage 1/2 file for our FSI Fuel pump which is the same Stage 1/2 calibration with meaningless adjustment to allow for the ecu to understand it has a higher flow fuel pump.

I apologize for the misinformation or confusion if your information was from us directly. Otherwise, I would like to know who told you these things so I can properly educate them about what they are selling.

Yeah. That can't hurt most of the time. I've a few experiences where the tuner didn't know the product all that well. My Audi dealership sells STaSIS products, and the parts manager, who sells the stuff, had no idea how much, or how long an ECU upgrade is/takes. It also took him about a week to get back to me when I called asking about the STaSIS turbo upgrade. When someone may potentially spend close to $10k with you, you get back to them ASAP.

^Meth injection isnt really going to do a whole lot on a stage 2 set up. Realisticly you will only see big gains with meth on a stage 3 set up. I have meth and im currently running a stage 2+ but i mean meth runs out like crazy! I would only use it for like a track set up. But yeah back to the topic, APR does have a stage 2 and stage 2+ set up.
