dome light dosent work no more when door open

it stoped working dunno why
usualy when you pull the key out of the ignition switch the light comes on and when i opened the door the computer would show the door open but it dosent no more and the light dosent come on either
but if the car is runing the computer shows the door open on the display but the light still dosent come on

what could be the problem ??

you probably hit the switch and set it to always off.

can you manually turn the lights on? if not then replace the bulb but that should be obdvious

yes it works when i turn them on with the switch
bulb is ok

I am having the same problem.... all interior dome front/rear light work when u manually turn them on. But when left in the position where they should turn on when the door opens they dont... I am trying to figure this one out

Fuse, bad connection @ central locking module in the trunk or bad module.

Maybe the module.... Becuase they work when manually turned on. how could i check this module?? i searched this issue found a couple topics on it but no one answed to it.

There's not a procedure in the book for this. Checked fuses right?

I didnt... but I didnt think there would be a need to considering all the lights work when turned on manually.... Any Ideas??

Dig the module out of the trunk and look for bad connections.
I've heard others had corrosion there.

Under the insulation and carpet in the trunk. Passenger side.
All the way towards the outside in the well.

Ok cool I will check it out tomorrow... that might actually be the problem... I haev been having some moisture in my trunk on the passenger side where that little nook is to store stuff...

Same thing with my car but I bought it like this. I never bothered to look into it. I just switch it on when I need light. :\ I guess this is more common than I thought.
