Kumho SPT or Falken 452 - Hurry

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
    Hey guys,

I know both tires are recommended amongst many people on the forum. Which tire has the stronger side wall? I've had quite a few sets feather on me and it pisses me off. If you have any other recommendations for 235/35/R19 tires (summer tires are fine) that will not get all chopped up after 10,000 miles because they have a really soft sidewall - - hit me up.

    Regards,
    G

my falken st-115's split on the sidewalls after 6k miles. i have a 452 that's been good to me so i think the 452's are pretty decent. if u have the cash go for PS2's. i honestly think its the best mod i ever did.

I've used both kumho spt and FK 452, and I would prefer FK 452 over spt. Kumho spt's have weak sidewalls but FK452s don't. I had to replace spt 2 times within a year on the same side.

Re: Kumho SPT or Falken 452 - Hurry

Darmz - perfect. That is the information i need. I need strong sidewalls. I just went through two sets of tires because of weak ass sidewalls. All 4 tires were feathering and the road noise was ridiculous esp around 80 mph.

I know this topic has been beat to death on the forums but nobody really talked about how strong the tires are.

How many miles have you guys gotten out of the Falkens?

    Thank you

Re: Kumho SPT or Falken 452 - Hurry

I think they are about 30 bucks more a tire (the 452 were in the range of like 140, and the proxes 4 were somewhere around 170)

Re: Kumho SPT or Falken 452 - Hurry

I'm getting 18" 225/40/18 FK452 with a warranty on bubbles, flats, etc for $155/tire. I can find them cheaper online, about $120 or so, but that's without warranty. So if they pop, bubble, or something like that happens I'm SOL.

Attaway Tire. I'm not sure if that's a National chain.
