    Transmission advice

Ok here is the story, about 1000 miles ago i replaced the clutch and the alternator. About 100 miles ago i had to have the gear replaced that is responsible for the spedo. Starting from a stoplight a couple days ago, before i even had the clutch all the way out in 1st gear there is a clunk and then some grinding noise. Long story short i tow it to the dealership because i have run into horrible mechanics in san diego. They want to charge 5900 for transmission replacement and they offer a 1 year warranty. First question is regarding the previous work that i have had done on the car, could any shotty work have been the problem here. Second of all any ideas on a rebuilt transmission? I am sort of against it because i do not want this problem again. and final question if I decide to get rid of the car how do you sell a non working car. Any help is appreciated, Thank you.

    Re: Transmission advice

We have several used transmissions that have been pulled from parts cars. PM me for a price.
