Yep. And now for my quick story on why I don't have any better shots in daylight...
I got home from work yesterday with an hour and a half until my kids' daycare closed. So I figured I'd test fit my new wheels I've been waiting to put on. I got 12mm spacers, and with the extra space saving from the new brake calipers, figured they should fit no problem.
So I jacked up the car, and put one on the driver's side front. It JUST touched the caliper. Not that big a deal, I had some 2mm shims I could use to push it out a little more. So I did that, and it fit ok. My only real issue is how far out this all pushes the wheel.
Anyway, so I proceeded to put on the other 3 wheels. I didn't put shims on the back, as there was no need. Checked the wheels for clearance to make sure I wouldn't hit, checked the time (25 minutes til daycare closes, it's 5 minutes away) and we're good to go.
Tried to back up, and it felt like the emergency brake was on. Only it wasn't.
Moved it up and down a few times to make sure it wasn't stuck or anything, but the car still won't move.
So I got out, looked at all the wheels again to make sure nothing was touching, which it wasn't. Jacked up each front corner, and the wheels spin just fine.
At this point, I figured the emergency brake must just be totally stuck. I jacked up the rear, and sure enough the wheel won't turn at all. Removed the wheel, and then had the neighbor actuate the e-brake a few times while I was watching the caliper. Hmmm, seems just fine. Tried turning the hub and it turns freely.
I'm starting to freak out a little, since I'm running out of time. Then I had an epiphany. Put the rear wheel back on, and only partially threaded the lugs. Sure enough, it turns. Crank them all the way down, it won't. They're hitting behind the hub! I had ordered longer lugs when I ordered the spacers. Apparently they are just a hair too long, as the ones in front, where the wheels had that small shim, weren't hitting. I tried the stock lugs in the rear, but sure enough, they're too short.
So, I had to take off the new wheels in the back and put on the stock wheels with the stock lugs.
So now over lunch today I get to go hunting for lugs that are longer than the stock ones and shorter than my new ones.
So, in the meantime, here's some quick shots at night that are too dark.
