Has anyones insurance ever replaced bad turbo's? If so please state the carrier. I am looking at getting a new policy and want to choose the carrier that will do that if any.

You mean warranty? I don't think insurance covers broken parts because of failures. (At least not any I've ever had)

Unless the damage occured while driving and some sort of road hazard somehow got sucked into the engine causing turbo damage...comprehensive coverage will most likely not cover a blown turbo.

Maybe the resident insurance agent can shed some light on this.

I work for a insurance company and unless it falls under comprehensive (vandalism,theft, act of god, ect, ect) they will not cover any mechanical failure. I think you are thinking of private warrenty companys. i have never heard of a company covering any parts to a vehicle unless they fall under the comp coverage listed above or were broken as a result of a collision. My .02.

Unless his clutch went out and then he hit a tree, there is no possible way in hell his insurance company covered it.

I'm a State Farm agent here in Toronto.

Mechanical failure will ONLY ONLY ONLY be covered if it results in a FIRE that destroys your vehicle.

I know what comprehensive is, what I was saying is that I have never heard of an insurance company replacing anything other than in those situations not from driving the car.

LOL no your supposed to say; a mean mean vandle came in the middle of the night and maliciously cut your turbo lines causing them to fail.......then your covered by your comp coverage

Alright, fair enough..but if you're trying to make me feel bad...aint gonna happen.

Bottom line is, if there was an easy way for us to get stuff like turbos easily covered under an insurance claim, It would be at the top of this forum, stickied, with about 500 hits an hour.
