Key and FOB

Anyone happen to know how hard it is to get a replacement Key and FOB if you only have one? Is this an absolute dealer only, or can it come from elsewhere? Any idea of cost?

Also, is there a section here where dealers can post. I am looking for a left over 08 Cabriolet anywhere east of the Mississippi. Dealer told me yesterday that they have been flushed out of the online search system so they can't find them anymore.

I would imagine dealer is the only way to get more keys. And no idea how much, just call them up. And no, dealers arent allowed on these forums!!!

You can buy the FOB on ebay and get a key blank as well, it is definately NOT a dealer only item, all you need the dealer for is to cut the key.

Too bad about the dealers not allowed, might actually be helpful. Not trying to tell the founders as I am strictly a newbie, but the dealers have been helpful in finding new cars over on the Corvette Forum. Been that way for years. The other ride is a C6 vert.

Many dealers seem to have 08 cabriolets leftover, but finding the right one is difficult if the dealers can't search last years. If anyone runs into anything, gray or silver, convenience pkg, and either engine, quattro, appreciate any pointers I can get.
