Steering wheel Paddles compatible?

Ok so Seatownb6 really has me contemplating my current stock setup. My steering wheel is the 4 spoke multi-function one. I love it, but yes it looks like an old mans. (see pic below) I wanted to get another wheel, but the one I like has paddle shifters on it! Can I wire those into my car so that they work? I mean would it be just a simple thing as to run some wire to the tranny shifter? Let me know.. Thanks!

this is the kind I wanna get preferably.. if I cant get one like this, ill just get the three spoke S-Line one, or the RS4 one.



And yes the woodgrain look would go away too.. I would replace it with a CF, or S4 wood look.. Undecided yet..

ya but your DIY doesnt tell me how to get the paddles to work ... just the features on the wheel (which mine already has)
