Many people experience this same issue with chipped B6s. This issue has come up in several threads in the B6 forum. After many guesses and arguments it seemed that it has to do with the driveshaft or driveshaft bearing/joint. No real fix for it. It's just caused by the non-linear torque spike produced by chipped K03 cars. Higher gears spike more boost and have increased shaft speed, which apparently makes the driveshaft wobble a bit causing a vibration.
I'm not an expert on this, but that is what the general consensus came to be. Maybe see if you can look up those old threads.
