It was filmed behind the UCSC campus. There are some pretty nice illegal trails to ride out there. Ha don't get caught riding on them $250+ fines.

Pogonip? I haven't ridden there in years and am not quite sure what was actually legal/illegal to ride on then or now. I just followed my friends...pleading ignorance I guess.

I will be out there for sure. Go check out the Tomac Mountain Bikes booth. I will either be there or at the Evomo booth (If they are doing the free food, beer, and couch to sit on).

I will be racing CAT-1 DH on Sunday, but I will be practicing out there all week. What class are you racing in road? I have a buddy racing Pro for Specialized this year. His name is Raffi Jilizian. How is it riding on the race track? Looks like fun! =]

Yeah it was a mix of those trails. Just a small part of what I usually ride when I'm out there. I have been doing a lot more 'big bike' riding as of late. Airbourne, Dead Campers, Chupacabra, etc. ET's is a lot of fun when its not all beat and blown out =]

I'm thinking about doing the circuit race (Masters 35+, Cat 4). I ended up skipping Sea Otter last year, but did the circuit race in 2007. The track itself is very smooth all around, very nice to ride on, but the climb up the hill before the corkscrew is a b*tch.

I just hope it doesn't rain this time around. In 2007, it was raining on and off pretty much all day Saturday, and it rained on the Women's 1/2/3 race.

Yeah fingers crossed on no rain this year. Last year was PERFECT. It was sunny and warm all week and on race day for me it was nice and overcast (best conditions for me to perform well).
