I called several of the dealers listed on the GIAC site about this. I am a PC-16 guy for 4-5 years, so if there is a new file, I'm in.
No names here...
1st dealer told me there are new PC revisions. They also told me that because I have a chip, not a flash, that I would need to send my ECU in so that it could be redone for a flash setup. The new files are flash files....OK
They then told be that because I got my chip(s) from EVO (who is not a GIAC dealer anymore) that I would need to start all over and pay full price. On top of that they told me that if i wanted the race file, I would HAVE to buy all the other files (valet, kill) and "stock". I asked "how do I get a stock file when its not a stock FPR and injectors, nevermind all the other PC mods? They told me its a stock power level...OK
Then I spoke to another company that had a different opinion.
He told me that yes, there are new files including a race. Yes they are flash files so my ECU needs to be redone.
He said that there is a spot on the GIAC website that says "upgrades", and that its around $100 to have the ECU done and maybee another $100 for the race file. I dont need to buy the others.
This is as far as I got with it. I guess its just FYI for all of you. Next up is to check up with GIAC and this "upgrades" section.
Hope this helps, and please keep all of us in the loop if someone gets more info.
Thanx,
Charlie
